Photocatalytic Degradation of Selected Azo Dyes.

Four azo dyes were investigated under photocatalytic conditions using aqueous titanium dioxide suspensions and wavelengths (λ) > 290 nm. The degradation approximately followed first order kinetics. To elucidate the reaction mechanisms, several products were determined by GC-MS.
