Diameters of airborne particles.

Particle size analysis is essential in aerosol science. Besides vizualization of precipitated particles in an optical or electron microscope, 2 methods of high resolution are available to date: optical and centrifugal spectrometry. In this article, the authors compare both methods and discuss which particle sizes can be evaluated with these methods.
