The dosimetric quantities in the new ICRP recommendations.

In its 1990 Recommendations (ICRP Publication 60), the International Commission on Radiological Protection revised and extended the definition of dosimetric quantities previously given in ICRP Publication 26. In this paper, the four types of quantities used in radiological protection - basic physical quantities, specific quantities for radiological protection, operational quantities and subsidiary dosimetric quantities - are presented and their definitions are given.
