Any influence of 2,2 dichlorophenyl on embryonic development would be most expected when the substance is applied at the pre implantation stage. A specially teratogenic effect of 2,2' dichlorobiphenyl could not be demonstrated under experimental conditions. The questions of microscopically demonstrable abnormalities in organs and tissue damage induced by 2,2' dichlorobiphenyl will form the subject of further investigations.
