Occurrence of norspermine in Euglena gracilis.
Biochem. Biophys. Res. Commun. 85, 42-46 (1978)
The tetraamine occurring in Euglena gracilis, previously believed to be spermine, is shown to be norspermine [N, N′-bis (3-aminopropyl)-1,3-diaminopropane]. Proof of identity was established by HPLC, HPCC and mass spectrometric investigations.
