Effect of a mixture of acetylsalicylic acid, quinine dihydrochloride and lithium citrate on fertility in mice.
Über den Einfluss einer Acetylsalicylsäure Chinin Lithium Kombination auf die Fertilität der Maus.
Arzneim. Forsch. 24, 1810-1811 (1974)
The effect of oral doses of a combination of acetylsalicylic acid, quinine dihydrochloride and lithium citrate (Togal) on the fertility of mice was investigated. Following the application of 400 and 600 mg Togal/kg during the fetal period and the embryogenesis, respectively, no statistically significant differences between the control animals and the treated mice, with respect to size of the litter and number of normal born and stillborn fetuses, could be seen. Only the postnatal mortality within the first four wk increased insignificantly until the F3 generation. By treating the male and female mice before mating, no influence on the fertilization processes could be established. The results are discussed.
