Wet deposition of tracer-marked aerosol.

To study the import of the influential parameters on the efficiency of below-cloud-scavenging a tracer method for field experiments has been developed. To this purpose fluorescent aerosol is released at precipitation events. Precipitation samples are taken and the particle concentrations in the sample determined. Measurements at different meteorological conditions and with different aerosol particle diameters allow a parametrisation of wet deposition.
