Die Kausch-Whipple-Operation ist der Standardeingriff für die operative Therapie des Pankreaskopfkarzinoms, des distalen Gallengangkarzinoms und periampullärer Karzinome; gelegentlich kommt sie auch bei der chronischen Pankreatitis zum Einsatz. Die Operation wird im Allgemeinen als Eingriff mit einer hohen perioperativen Morbidität und Mortalität angesehen. Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, unsere Technik der Operation nach Kausch-Whipple darzustellen und aufzuzeigen, dass durch eine standardisierte Technik ein akzeptables Kurz- und Langzeitergebnis erreicht werden kann.
The Kausch-Whipple operation is the standard procedure for resection of pancreatic head cancer, distal bile duct cancer, and periampullary cancers. It is also used for some cases of chronic pancreatitis. Traditionally, this operation is associated with high perioperative morbidity and mortality. The aim of our study was to present our current technique for Kausch-Whipple pancreaticoduodenectomy and to demonstrate that acceptable perioperative and long-term outcomes can be achieved by a standardised technique in a high-volume centre.
