Uncertainty considerations following a mechanistic analysis of lung cancer mortality.

Lung cancer mortality after radon exposure in the Wismut cohort was analysed with the two-stage clonal expansion (TSCE) model. Careful examination of the results of this study suggests that model misspecification and individual error in radon exposure estimates may be leading to large uncertainties in the estimation of risk.
