Chapter 14: Singlet-assisted exchange NMR spectroscopy.
In: New Developments in NMR. 2020. 266-279 ( ; 2020-January)
Structural dynamics is important for the understanding of the functions of biomolecules. NMR spectroscopy is adequately equipped with methods to explore a wide range of timescales where such phenomena occur. However, processes occurring in timescales longer than the longitudinal relaxation time constants (T1) are challenging to be studied with NMR spectroscopy. Long lived spin states (LLS) offer a unique way to increase the nuclear spin memory beyond T1. Owing to the significant developments of singlet spectroscopy during the last decade, robust methods exist that can use the longer memory of singlet states to monitor slow dynamic processes in high magnetic fields.
